Meet the Authors
Daniel Fisher: As founder and editor in chief of Military Mode publishing, Daniel is also the head of Regimentals Militaria. Having a large stock of mixed militaria, Daniel has an in-depth amount of knowledge across many fields. Regularly seen on TV shows such as Combat Dealers and with his own YouTube channel with over 14,000 subscribers, he is bringing militaria into the next generation. Away from the hobby, Daniel is a keen martial artist on a competitive level - holding the rank of black belt first dan and he volunteered as an instructor, sharing his knowledge and experience.

Oliver Lock: Oliver Lock is a world-renowned author and authority on all forms of militaria. Oliver has penned many projects focusing a lot on helmets and headdress. As a collector Oliver has covered most fields including Japanese, British WWI, German WWI, Vietnam, Spanish Civil War, as well as WWII British Airborne. Having worked with Military Mode closely for many years, Oliver is an expert with the camera, working beyond the role of an author on the production of the projects he is associated with. Upcoming projects from Oliver Include, Tarnfarben Volume 3 and a new book looking at all British WWI Officers Militaria including Uniforms, Headdress and Equipment.

Roly Pickering: Roly is now a well-established author having penned four publications. A collector from a young age, he built his wide knowledge of German World War Two field and personal equipment and spread that base into collecting Fallschirmjager artifacts, as well as, Waffen SS. Now retired from a lifetime of Service to his country with the Army and HMS Prison Service, Roly now dedicates his time to research and networking within the Militaria community.

David Bunch: Now retired from his successful career in banking, David is recognised as the world's authority on items related to the Afrikakorps. Based in Washington DC, he is actively pursuing further volumes within the Afrikakorps series. David will always be a regular on the US show circuit, always willing to share his wealth of knowledge.

Chris Pollendine: Author of the Campaign series, 1914 and 1915 have been a great success. Chris is a wealth of knowledge in the British WWI & WWII collecting world. With a massive source of information within his grasp, Chris has enlightened us by sharing his years of experience. Due to a busy schedule, work on 1916 has been delayed for sometime but Military Mode continues to hope that work on further volumes will be completed in the near future.

Bruce Wilson: Known for having one of the best collections of Denison smocks and British Airborne Helmets, Bruce generously shared his knowledge with the world by writing the successful book Dension. In his career, interestingly Bruce works at sea in the field of submarine mining and is often hard to track down. Amongst other hobbies, Bruce is also a collector of scooters and mopeds.

Micheal Baldwin: The late Michael Baldwin was the leading authority on German WWI combat militaria, especially focused on Enlisted Mans and NCOs material. Michael's personal collection was vast and after his passing, his collection was sold through a leading auction house, achieving astonishing prices. Michael had previously co-authored a large format book on German WWI Field Grey tunics. The burning passion inside led to a 5-volume series with Military Mode which has received worldwide acclaim. Mickey was a true gentleman and a hero to many, his knowledge of the subject was beyond comprehension and he left a huge legacy of information for us all the be thankful for.

Tony Vickers: Tony Vickers, the author of German Army Visor Caps had one of the best collection of cap for the Reichswehr and Weimer periods. Tony now concentrates on German WWI spiked helmets but continues to be a go-to for in-depth information on many topics. One of our early Authors, Tony, currently works as a Constable for Canterbury Cathedral.

Kevin Beckburst: In his formative years, Kevin worked at the Imperial War Museum in London. During this time, he gained an enormous amount of information from Regimental museums about the colours, patterns and configuration of Battle Insignia upon first World War tunics. Being a talented artisan, he hand drew and colourised an immensely detailed hand bound book on the subject. For many years, Military Mode were aware of this books whereabouts and with Kevin’s permission and the talents of graphic designer Brana Radovic we were able to publish and share his extensive knowledge.
